I didn't expect this...

It's funny what can happen!

Hello folks,

I didn’t expect this to happen! Near the beginning of this year I sat down to paint a series of women so I could practice work on figures. What happened though was much more than that. Each of the fifteen women took on their own personality and they spoke to me in different ways.

I am hoping that amongst these paintings there’s one that resonates with you. Perhaps there’s something about her expression that interests you; perhaps the hint of a background prompts a story that you find fascinating. Or maybe her soul suggests someone you know. They all serve as a reminder that we are all unique and wonderful in our own way and we should embrace our differences.

These paintings have now all been listed on my art website, HelenHobden.com. They were painted on paper, and as the backgrounds and surroundings have little detail, I have been able to price these much lower than my other art pieces. Perhaps now is the time to begin your Helen Hobden art collection?! (As a little side note, they have all been varnished and mounted onto board frames ready to fit a standard-sized picture frame.)

So I’ll keep this email short and sweet. Sorry if you’ve been waiting for my latest YouTube video - I know it’s over a week late! It’s only because this time around I decided to combine all my August vlogs into one video - including our camper van trip to Cornwall. So sit down with a cup of tea to watch this one, I’ll be posting it later this evening.
